A bay that opens south onto Lake Superior, sheltered by two breakwaters.
- The breakwater light. The white steel tower on the end of the east breakwater, there since the early 1920s. Its history
- Artist's Point. The rocky point east of the harbor, joined to town by a gravel neck.
- The west breakwater. The shorter wall, ending in a white tower with a green band. Who keeps it up
